Microsoft have recently confirmed a one year countdown for Windows 7 support. From the 14th January 2020 support will no longer be provided for Windows 7.
Windows 7 was released to the general public on October 22nd 2009 meaning it will be over 10 years old before support is stopped. You might be wondering how this will affect you and what you need to do. By continuing to run Windows 7 you will become vulnerable to security risks and will no longer receive security and feature updates that put yourself and your business at risk. One of the benefits of upgrading to Windows 10 is that you will no longer be vulnerable to these security risks that Windows 7 will expose you too. Windows 10 security and feature updates are regularly provided. We at Ashgates IT are here to help with the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. During the upgrade Ashgates IT can make sure that this is as seamless process. If you would like to enquire then please get in touch. Comments are closed.
