Jon, Jamie, David, Luis & Tom all completed the Derby 10k back in March and in doing so helped to raise £1,338 for their Charity of the Year, Sam's Superheroes.
Sam's Superheroes have confirmed the donation will be used to help kickstart the UK's first public research into FIRES (Febrile Infection Related Epilepsy Syndrome) and with new cases being reported recently, it is more important than ever that we develop our understanding of the illness and help support those affected by it.
Ashgates IT would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to donate and share our fund raising efforts, as well as all of those who have sent messages of support during the build up to the event.
Our Director, Jon Woliter, had this to say about the team effort…
"I'm immensely proud of the whole team, not only the people who were able to dust off their trainers for the race but also those who were able to support us and cheer us on.
It's crucial that we help to raise the awareness of FIRES and help those suffering with it. Rachel, Daisy and the Sam's Superheroes team does some fantastic work supporting the community, and in raising over £1,300, I'm thrilled that we have been able to help kickstart the very first public research into the condition."
